In a study of older patients with severe COVID-19, those given Thymalin alongside standard therapy (n=36) showed faster clinical improvement, quicker recovery from lymphopenia, faster normalization of C-reactive protein and D-dimer, and higher lymphocyte and NK-cell counts than the standard-therapy-only group (n=44). Most strikingly, the reported hospital mortality was roughly halved in the Thymalin arm.
