Editorial Methodology

How PeptiMap researches, writes, reviews, and updates its content — and how we stay independent and compliant. Last reviewed: 4 July 2026.

Our promise

PeptiMap is an independent, evidence-first reference for research peptides. Our aim is simple: every claim traceable to primary literature, every page dated, no therapeutic claims, and our commercial relationships disclosed. Content is provided strictly for research and educational purposes only — not medical advice, not dosing recommendations, and not for human consumption.

How we source

  • Primary literature first. We prioritise peer-reviewed studies, clinical-trial reports, and systematic reviews (via sources such as PubMed) over secondary commentary.
  • Honest evidence framing. Much peptide research is preclinical (animal or in-vitro). We say so plainly and never present preclinical findings as proven human outcomes.
  • Named citations. Research summaries link or attribute to their sources so readers can verify claims themselves.

How pages are produced and reviewed

Drafts are prepared by the PeptiMap Research Team using a standard research-profile template (what a compound is → mechanism → what the research shows → research considerations → safety and legal status → FAQ → references). Where we use AI assistance to accelerate drafting and translation, output is checked against the cited sources by a human reviewer who is accountable for the page. We do not publish claims we cannot source.

Freshness and corrections

  • Dated content. Compound and guide pages carry a visible last-updated date; we bump it only when the content genuinely changes.
  • Monitoring. We track new literature and regulatory developments (e.g. FDA/EMA actions) and revise affected pages when meaningful new evidence lands.
  • Corrections. Found an error? Tell us via the contact page and we will review and, where warranted, correct it and note the change.

Independence and disclosure

PeptiMap earns revenue through disclosed affiliate/commercial relationships, including common ownership with a listed supplier. Editorial content is written to be supplier-neutral: these relationships do not determine our research summaries, comparisons, or the information we present. Full details are on our disclosure page.

Compliance

All content is framed as research use only, with no therapeutic or benefit claims. Legal status for research peptides varies by country; where relevant we note this and encourage readers to comply with their local laws. See our terms and privacy policy.
